Services

Start with the issue in front of you, or assess the full picture.

We help schools, trusts and colleges evidence whether IT is working, safe, well governed, value for money and ready for what comes next. Start with one focused assurance area, or commission a full governance and maturity review across the whole IT landscape.

Five routes

One model. Five ways in.

No public prices, by design. Every engagement is scoped on a free call and fixed-priced in writing before any commitment.

Route finder

Tell us the problem. We will point you at the route.

Problem-to-pillar selector

Three quick choices. No prices, no obligation: just the review route that fits, what it helps you understand, and what you would receive.

1. What is the main issue you need assurance on?

2. What type of organisation are you?

3. How broad is the concern?

Platform-supported assurance

One place for evidence, risk, maturity and progress.

Every review can be supported through the Education Governance Platform as it is rolled out: one place to upload evidence, track maturity, manage risks, follow the Now / Next / Later roadmap, receive reminders and download evidence packs.

Live assurance position

A live view of risk, maturity, compliance position and evidence confidence, with RAG status and named 1 to 5 maturity scores by lens and pillar.

Evidence, versioned

Upload documents, policies, exports, contracts and reports at any time, with guidance on what evidence is expected and a full version history of what supported each assurance decision.

Trust-wide comparison

Authorised trust users can compare named schools within the same trust. School-level users see only their own school unless given wider access. Anything outside the trust is anonymised.

Roadmap and reminders

The Now / Next / Later roadmap with owners, due dates and progress, plus reminders for evidence, overdue actions, review dates and reassessment cycles.

Board-ready packs

Downloadable evidence packs for board reporting, audit committee review, DfE progress evidence, safeguarding assurance and cyber governance.

Risk, accepted and unassured

Risk acceptance, accepted control counts, N/A tracking, unassured pillar visibility and a request-review flow for areas not yet assured.

AI-assisted, judgement retained

AI that saves time. Assurance that stays human.

The platform uses AI to summarise uploaded evidence, suggest where an upload belongs, flag likely gaps, propose follow-up questions and draft summaries and next steps, and to answer plain questions such as “what are our top cyber risks?” or “what should the board focus on first?”. Final assurance ratings, maturity scores and governance conclusions always remain with Vector-Ops.

Platform capabilities are being introduced in stages and are described here as the platform is rolled out.

Who we serve

Schools, trusts and colleges across the UK.

Trust executives

CEOs, COOs and CFOs

You are accountable for spend and risk across many schools. We give you an independent line of sight into whether technology money is being spent well, and the evidence to challenge it when it is not.

School and college leaders

Heads, principals and business managers

You should not need to be a technologist to know whether your IT is sound. We explain where you stand in plain terms and tell you exactly what needs attention, and in what order.

IT and operations leads

IT directors and network managers

You know the estate better than anyone. We add independent weight to your judgement, scrutinise suppliers on your behalf and help translate your technical judgement into the language leadership acts on.

Governors and trustees

Boards and oversight committees

Scrutiny is your duty, but technology can be hard to scrutinise. Independent assurance gives your board findings it can rely on, reported in the language of risk and accountability you already use.

Outcomes

What previous work has surfaced.

Anonymised by default. Named case studies will be published only with permission.

From recent engagements

  • Identified serious key-person dependency risk and prioritised immediate mitigation
  • Challenged unreliable IT service reporting where headline numbers did not reflect user experience
  • Separated front-line service issues from leadership, governance and accountability issues
  • Produced board-ready findings and phased recommendations
  • Turned audit evidence into a practical Now / Next / Later improvement route
  • Highlighted where further cyber, infrastructure, supplier or governance assurance was needed
