What the reporting looks like
Every engagement produces a findings register. Each item carries a status, an owner and a recommended action, so leadership teams and governors can see risk the same way they review everything else: clearly, and at a glance.
Not everything is pass or fail. Alongside RAG status, each area carries a named 1 to 5 maturity level, so the register shows direction of travel as well as compliance: a control that exists but is not yet embedded, or a capability that is still developing.
F-014 / Cyber postureBackup restoration has never been tested end to end
RiskF-009 / Supplier and valueCore supplier contract auto-renews in 90 days, terms unreviewed
CautionF-027 / AI and opportunityScope to make more of AI in operational services not yet explored
Maturity 2 / 5F-021 / Leadership and strategyRoadmap ownership maturing, board reporting rhythm not yet set
Maturity 3 / 5F-003 / Safeguarding and dataFiltering and monitoring controls operating as intended
AssuredAssurance Track
With every assurance engagement, governors and trustees get an always-current view of the findings register, the status of each item and progress against agreed actions, in the language of risk a board already uses, supported through the platform as it is rolled out.
Platform-supported
As the Education Governance Platform is rolled out, this review is supported with evidence upload, RAG and named maturity tracking, risks, action owners, reminders and downloadable evidence packs, so the findings become an ongoing governance rhythm rather than a one-off report.
